The Property
We are situated on a quiet point, with a view of Blue Rocks and Lunenburg across the bay. The best of both worlds, with a peaceful ocean view yet only 15 minutes from the bustling picturesque town of Lunenburg for evening entertainment, arts, culture and terrific restaurants.
Ocean Front: You have your own private beach with the perfect mix of rugged Nova Scotia rocks for sitting with a book, and a sandy beach for swimming. Sailboats and playful seals often pepper the view in the distance.
Fire Pit: We’ve fashioned a fire pit from found rocks on the beach for lobster boils and marshmallow roasting. There is usually wood available in the black bin behind the shed.
Backyard: Our property backs on a wooded area and opens up to double wide beyond the tree line. It’s the perfect place for a mini adventure with the kids. Sun streams through the trees creating lush greenery and ferns. You may spot the family of deer that call the forest home from the kitchen window.
Parking: We have a generous lot, with plenty of room for multiple cars in the driveway
Neighbourhood: The Ovens Natural Park, arguably the prettiest place in Nova Scotia, is down the road on the same point as the house. A 20 minute walk away, you’ll be rewarded with a quant restaurant in the park with nightly live music. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails for lazy afternoons. Rent a canoe and explore the magical rock formations along the coast.
In the other direction you’ll see a handful of quintessential east coast cedar shake, salt box and coastal homes on the beach with stunning views well worth a morning walk (take a mug of coffee for the road). Two picture perfect churches and sailboats offshore will also get your Instagram posts out of the way!
